Main Domain of interest: Machine Learning and Data Mining for Natural Language Processing

Research projects

Present:

  • To be completed...

Past:

  • I was a member of the PASCAL II Network of Excellence (2008-2012).
  • I worked in the Bingo2 project (2008-20010), supported by the ANR (French Research Agency). In that project we were interested in:
    • Using background knowledge to improve data mining algorithms.
    • Discovering background knowledge using data mining techniques.
  • I was involved in the Web Intelligence project (2006-2008) financed by the Rhône-Alpes region. The aim of this project was to build a regional network federating research labs on Web Intelligence. At Laboratoire Hubert Curien, I was interested in the design of an Ethical Web and more specifically on techniques for providing privacy and trust on the Web (Thesis of Ludivine Crépin).
  • I was a member of the PASCAL Network of Excellence (2004-2007).
  • I worked in the Bingo project (2004-2007), supported by an ACI Masses de Données of the French Ministery of Research. In that project we were interested in:
    • Automata-based Sequence Mining (Thesis of Stéphanie Jacquemont)
    • Efficient Management of Huge Pattern Bases (Thesis of Cédric Udréa)
  • I was interested in the Discovery of Unexpected Information in Textual Databases. We Designed the UnexpectedMiner prototype.
