The village Le Bessat is situated about 18 km from Saint-Etienne. Saint-Etienne is the second biggest town of the Region Rhône-Alpes. The town is situated in the center of France, about 60 km from Lyon. The best way to come to Saint-Etienne from abroad is to come to Paris (Airport Paris - Charles de Gaulle), to take the shuttle to the railway station Paris - Gare de Lyon and to take the fast train (TGV) to Saint-Etienne. You have several buses per day (line xxx) leaving directly from the Saint-Etienne railway station Chateaucreux to the village (ask for "Le Bessat"). |

| The village Le Bessat and Hotel de France | ||

The workshop will take place in the "Hotel de France" in the center of the village Le Bessat. The hotel is famous by its traditional French restaurant (see figure at the bottom of the page) and meals. Conference room for about 30 persons is in the same hotel. Sufficient number of single and double rooms is available. The meals (full pension including coffee breaks) and accomodation is included in the registration fee. |

| The natural park Le Pilat | ||
|
Le Bessat is a regional turist centre. Every weekend tens or hundreds of habitants of Saint-Etienne come to the village and to its surroundings to spent their free time during various sporting and other outdoor activities. The village is a starting point for a number of walks to the natural park Le Pilat. You can see wonderfull mountain chain of Alpes from Le Pilat (see bottom of the page). |
