Access to the workshop site

The workshop will take place in an old castel Chateau de Goutelas, near Saint-Etienne in France.

We will organize a transport by bus from Saint-Etienne on Tuesday afternoon, and a return on Friday morning.

You can reach Saint-Etienne by train (about 45 minutes from Lyon or 3 hours TGV from Paris).

If you join Lyon by plane, you can reach La Part-Dieu railway station in less than 30 minutes with the Rhone Express tram.

	The workshop will take place in the Chateau de Goutelas. Located in Marcoux, close to Montbrison on the Plaine du Forez, the Chateau de Goutelas is known as a Mecca for the humanist movement. It was built in 1558 on the site of an old fortress of which the high walls are still visible as well as the four corner towers. This Renaissance chateau belonged to Jean Papon, known as The great judge of the Forez, who was a 16th Century humanist. He asked his architects to design his home in the form of an H, to denote humanism. Completely in ruins at the beginning of the 1960s, it has been entirely restored by a team of volunteers who have given up 10 years of their lives to achieve the final result. It has now been turned into a meeting place.
The conference room inside the castel includes hardware/software equipments necessary for presentations (video projector, PC, printer, etc.) and a WiFi Internet access.
	The meals (full board including coffee breaks) and accommodation are included in the registration fee.
All workshop participants will be accommodated in the castel. A sufficient number of single and double rooms will be available.
