Access to the workshop site

The workshop will take place near Annecy, a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Rhone-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It lies on the northern tip of Lake Annecy (Lac d'Annecy), 35 kilometres (22 miles) south of Geneva.

How to reach it:

Train: TGV station Annecy (8 km).
Airports: Geneve-Cointrin (45 km), Lyon-St Exupery (130 km).
Between Geneva and Annecy you can either take a train, or a regular bus of Frossard transportation company, (10.50 euros one way, flyer for schedule). Be careful, only one shuttle is available on Sunday!
Between the Lyon St-Exupery airport and Annecy you can either take a train, or a regular bus of Altibus company, (34 euros one way, 51 euros for round trip, flyer for schedule). Be careful, some shuttles are not available on Sunday!
Car from Annecy: A41 motorway, exit no. 16 "Annecy Centre", direction "Albertville". Pass through "Sevrier" (RD 508), turn left in the roundabout direction "Col de Leschaux". The place is 3 km away on the left. Link to the google map.
Car from Altberville: go through "Ugine", "Doussard", "Duingt"," St-Jorioz", "Sevrier". In Sevrier, turn left in the roundabout to "Col de Leschaux". The place is 3 km away on the left. Link to the google map.

Unfortunately, no regular buses are available to reach the workshop place. You should either take a taxi or walk about 2 km from Sevrier bus stop (bus no. 52 from Annecy station).
We will try to organize shuttles or put you in touch with other participants to share taxis, depending on the time of your arrival and our availability.

Les Balcons du lac - the workshop place


The workshop will take place in a holiday village Les balcons du lac d'Annecy, in Sévrier, near Annecy, in the French Alpes.

The conference room includes hardware/software equipment necessary for presentations (video projector, PC...) and a WiFi Internet access.
	The meals (full board including coffee breaks) and accommodation are included in the registration fee.
All workshop participants will be accommodated on the spot. A sufficient number of single and double rooms will be available.
